Ever wondered why a lot of people find it difficult to forget their pasts? Why moving on for them becomes a burden? Some of us don't always have the best stories to tell about our past, other enjoy the feeling each time they remember the events of their past. So we see that the reason people find it hard to move on is either because they were traumatized orrrr they had the best moments of their lives(this is not something anyone can just forget). So now you might ask; “what does backsliding have to do with this talk on past relationships?" .. *Let's keep it simple and short*? Colossians 1:13–14 says that we have been redeemed, washed and purified; we are no more of the world; we live in Christ now; we have been set free from every bondage of sin. But, why do some Christians still fall back to the things they once ran from? Why do they, in that mini second forget/choose to forget the sacrifices and prayers they made to obtain God's mercy? As we stated earlier about past events, this is to also say that their past had become part of them; they found comfort and satisfaction that right now in the present, its gonna be difficult for them to readjust and let go of the comfort they found living in sin.. PS: this is my prayer; that we all find comfort and satisfaction only in Jesus. Let him give you a new story. Allow him create new memories with you. #The_past_holds_nothing_for_us!
