Course Title: PRINCIPLES OF DESTINY (Lecture 10)
Planning involves four factors:
i. Programming
ii. Project
iii. People
iv. Price.
i. Programming
Programming is the act of determining when certain events will take place. Joseph designed a 14 years program. The first seven years were for gathering of food. "And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls. And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.
"And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number." Gen.41:47-49. When there is no program, there will be no organized events. People will acts irrationally.
The scheduling of events is called program. You can call it times table. It shows the time, when each event will take place. "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Eccl.3:1.
When the time of a man arrives, it will seem he is the only person. There was a time in this country that it was only Kumuyi and Nigeria. Later Adeboye take over the stage. The truth is that somebody else is coming very soon. You don't idolize a servant of God.
No servant of God is special. It is only time and chance that determine their status. "I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all." Eccl.9:11.
When your time comes, your star will shine very bright for everyone to see. "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." Eccl.3:11.
God programmed all the events. He fixed the time when each one of them will take place. "And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation." Acts 17:26.
Please, patiently wait for your time. God gave precious promises to Abraham. To him it was like he would got a baby the following year. He waited and nothing happened. He became discouraged. Eventually they got Ishmael through their own making.
But when it was the right time, Jehovah fulfilled His promise. "For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him." Gen.21:2. There is a set time by God for every event on the earth. "Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yeah, the set time, is come." Ps.102:13.
There is a set time for your glory. "Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father." Gal.4:1-2. There is an appointed time for your glory. Don't be in hurry.
When it is your turn, heaven will announce you the same way the Father announced Jesus Christ to the world. "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Matt.3:17. Never be wearied nor tired, wait patiently for your time. Eventually, the time of Joseph came to shine. "And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt." Gen.41:44.
