There are negative and positive destinies.

? SCHOOL OF DESTINY

Course Title: PRINCIPLES OF DESTINY (Lecture 14)

When you look at the Holy Bible, there are negative and positive prophecies inside it. The Scripture doesn't put the name of anyone on the negative prophecies. But people do certain things that make them to become the victims of negative prophecies.

For instance, Joshua prophesied that anybody who built Jericho would lay the foundation upon his firstborn and set the gate on his last child. "And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it." Jos.6:26.

Joshua didn't mentioned anyone's name. Anybody can wilfully put his own name there. That is how people choosed evil destinies. It is a choice and not something that God fosters on anybody.

In case of the prophecy of Joshua, a man choosed it to be fulfilled in his own life. "In his days did Hiel the Beth-elite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun." 1Kings 16:34.

If you want to have a good destiny, the first thing to do is to take the word of God very seriously. "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Jos.1:8.

There is need to understand that nobody is given evil destiny. People choose it. When a person has chosen to destroy himself, God will help to do it. "For the Scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth." Rom.9:17.

Pharaoh choosed destruction himself and God helped him to destroy himself. You will not destroy yourself in Jesus name. What we are saying is that God does not create evil destiny for anyone. You live right and your future will be okay. It is a choice.

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live." Deut.30:19. You can choose good or evil destiny. There is freedom of choice but you must be ready to live with the consequence of your decision.

"If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work." 2Tim.2:21. The meaning of this is that God will create an honourable destiny for you, when you are holy.

"Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?" Rom.9:21. We choose to be vessel unto honour or dishonour by the type of life we live.

You remember Peter. "And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Matt.4:18-19.

Peter wasn't made a fisher of men in his mother's womb. He was made when he started following Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ will make you a vessel unto honour, when you start following Him by obedient to His word.

He has something special for you, if you truly love Him. "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 1Cor.2:9.

People who love God are people who are obedient to His word. "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." Jn.14:23. When we truly love Christ, the Holy Spirit will find a resting place in us as He did to David.
